Use recent refund history before fulfillment

ReturnFence checks refund events available through Shopify's standard 60-day order-history scope. It does not identify Shopify Returns, prove abuse, or make fulfillment decisions.

How it works

1. Create refund-history rules with a lookback up to 60 days.
2. New orders are evaluated automatically and ranked by each customer's refund signal score.
3. Review flagged orders and record an approve or mark-for-hold decision.

Mark for hold adds a tag and records your decision. It does not pause fulfillment. Pause fulfillment separately in Shopify or your fulfillment system before the order ships.

How refund signal scoring works

Every refund adds to a per-customer signal ledger in your store. Five transparent factors combine into a 0–100 score, and every point is explained in the order's evidence view:

• High refund rate across the customer's orders (+30)
• Repeat refunds — three or more on record (+25)
• Fast return, within days of purchase (+20)
• High refund ratio against the order value (+15)
• New customer whose first order is fully refunded (+10)

Thresholds are tunable on the Pro plan. Scores rank your review queue — you always make the final call on every order.
